Michel J. Bryant is a journalist; practicing attorney and broadcaster with more than 30 years experience in radio and network television. He is the creator and host of The Legal Edge brand that began as a series of nearly 1000 EMMY award winning television consumer news features. That brand now grows to include live web based gavel-to-gavel coverage of the most important trials in the country.
Before launching The Legal Edge Network or TLE Michel worked in a number of high profile positions on national television. The California native was a trial correspondent and anchor for Court TV; a correspondent for the syndicated newsmagazine A Current Affair; and legal correspondent for the syndicated entertainment news magazine Extra! He also has appeared as a legal analyst on The Today Show; The Early Show; Bill O’Reilly; Greta Van Susteran; Entertainment Tonight; The Insider; and various programs on the CNN, Fox and MSNBC networks. In the field Michel has reported on cases ranging from the Winona Ryder shoplifting case in Beverly Hills to the Scooter Libby CIA leak case in Washington, D.C.
As a result of the popularity of his witty, irreverent and useful consumer features, Michel wrote a companion book, The Legal Edge for Homeowners, Buyers and Renters, which was published by St. Martin’s Press. From law review to more pop culture efforts Michel has long been an award winning writer recognized by, among others, The Radio Television News Directors Association and The Associated Press. His works include several screenplays, short stories and essays like the soon to be released article about Kobe Bryant titled, Replaced by Number 8.
When he’s not writing, protecting consumer rights or lending his legal expertise to the media, Michel is always at work on some home improvement project or real estate venture. He now lives in Westchester County, New York with his wife and two children.
Lisa Cuthbert is the Director of Marketing for TLE. She brings to the network two decades of experience in marketing and producing for national programs like, Extra, the entertainment news magazine; Goin’ Deep for Fox Sports Network, E!, Entertainment Network and the truTV entertainment magazine Hollywood Heat.
In her years in television Lisa has enjoyed all levels of the broadcast business. She began as an on air journalist transitioning to producing with her focus on sports for many years, including executive producing credit for the Atlanta Olympics, before turning to the world of entertainment. Her ability to make contacts and get the big interview is a tribute to her tenacity and serves her well in the demanding field of marketing and publicity.
